I’m sitting here in front of my PC this morning,
like many times before to listen to God’s warning.
But, this time it’s different for me I will repent.
I’m confessing my faults for all to see, before my life is spent.

I don’t know why the Lord gave me this talent to write.
Sometimes these poems come to me even at night.
When they do I usually get up and pen before I forget.
That’s usually when I hear the enemy say, “Don’t do it yet.”

There are so many areas of my life I am ashamed of now.
Thank God, He has forgiven me — through Jesus’ blood — that’s how.
Jesus came to take all our sins to the cross with His blood.
It’s an incredible benefit to Christians, not easily understood.

Why can’t people forget the hurts of the past?
Sometimes I am amazed just how long they last.
We can repent and change our lifestyle to please God.
Now, these same people think we are crazy or just odd.
