Today, I pledge, to do my very best.
I want a grade A when I pass this test.
I want Jesus to be proud of me today,
to smile at everything I do and say.

Many days I could imagine Him with a frown.
Many things would have been be a thumbs down.
It’s so good to know, every day we can start our life anew.
That’s when Jesus forgives and forgets all you do.

If and when we ask for forgiveness and then also repent,
our sins are erased. Don’t wonder where they went.
They were cast into the sea to be remembered no more.
Thank God they are gone! He doesn’t even keep score.

Many people hold a grudge forever, it’s true.
Seems they won’t forgive whatever you do.
All we can do is turn them over to God,
then keep on loving them — to the world this is odd.
