Being a senior citizen in these times really does have some advantages for you.

In these turmulteous times, many younger people just don’t know what to do.

But because of our age, we have wisdom that they don’t have yet.

We all know it took a lot of what life had to offer for this wisdom to get.

 

Oh, I know we don’t have all the technical skills and latest gadgets today.

But realize that those things will soon become obsolete and pass away.

Today’s technology is advancing at a very rapid pace, this we know.

Although this technology was designed to help. I see tensions grow.

 

Yes! We may be called obsolete and not on touch with the times, now.

But we are very valuable asset to our community and this is why and how.

We have the wisdom, knowledge and foresight that the younger generation need.

If only we could have them respect us and our great suggestions heed.

 

We must realize to that we are now living in the good old days, yes it’s true.

In the years to come they will refer to the wisdom and guidance offered by you.

Wisdom comes from our life long experiences, there is no quick fix or short cut way.

So don’t get upset and frustrated because today they won’t listen to what you say.
