I prayed as I played that I would sound more than just alright.
I swear the angels must have heard my plea, because I sounded good.
I’m not taking credit for my exceptional playing, I want that understood.
We all know that when we use our special talents — it pleases the Lord.
I know my playing last night was truly anointed, and that’s how I scored.
It is so wonderful to have a talent and skill that can benefit others.
I hope when I played, it was enjoyed by all the sisters and brothers.
I aspire to some day perform a solo — that would be a sheer delight.
Despite the fact that I think I sounded good last night, I would rather that I might
Play always to glorify the Lord and make Him smile as I play.
Oh, I’m looking forward to that event, it would truly make my day!
