Family is so important in this day and time.
Don't make the mistake like I did with mine.
I put everything as a priority over them, it's true
Now in my senior years it's something I can't undo

Time is so short here on the earth, not many years. 
As I look back at life I had many regrets and tears,
I acknowledge that as a dad and parent I failed miserably
I earnestly apologized and they have forgiven me, wonderfully.

Now I can enjoy my senior years with a relationship that's great.
If you had a similar situation, reconcile it today, and don't wait.
The love of your family is something worth fighting for.
God wants loving families to enjoy each other and that's for sure.

When we all get to heaven,, will all your family members be there?
This is a message God wants me to share.
I don't want to look around and see that someone is missing there.
No! As a dad and a devoted family member now, I really do care.
