If we could only realize how important we are to God today,
We would know that He is with us at home, work and play.
God loves you, and only wants the best for you in this life.
The enemy wants you sick, poor, humiliated and in strife.

God wants you well, prosperous and enjoying your day.
He will be with you constantly, come what may.
He will never leave or forsake you, as earthly friends do.
Yes! God is your closest friend — His love is forever true.

It's hard to comprehend God's love for us, yes, I know.
But, when we need something, the blessings still flow,
Even when we are not up to par in our Christian walk.
Still, consider your actions, how you treat others and talk.

It's so easy nowadays to get sidetracked, so to speak.
With all the political turmoil that can make us feel weak.
Sometimes it seems, all we can do is trust God and pray.
This is when our faith comes into action today and every day.
