Fellow Christians: How brightly is your light shining today?
People are watching you to see what you do and say.
Talk is cheap, we know that's true.
Still, people judge you only on what you say and do.

Are you kind and considerate, overlooking their faults?
So many Christians condemn others with their righteous assault.
We all have weaknesses and things we need to improve.
So, be understanding not judgmental and show God's love.

In this world today there is a real need for your light.
So many are confused, upset and are ready to fight.
That's when we need to show God's love and kindness today.
Do as Christ did in a sincere and humble, yet loving way.

We don't win souls to the Lord with a “better than you” thought.
We need to show the love of God by what Jesus taught.
He was always going around helping others in need.
His ministry, like ours, was continually planting a Godly seed.

Matthew 5:11 tells us that we will be mocked at times — it's true.
There will be occasions when praying and being kind is all you can do.
Remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted too.
Be happy about it and rejoice, for a heavenly reward is waiting for you!
