Last night I had a visit from an old friend.
Someone to be real with and not pretend.
True friends are hard to find in this life today.
With many so called “friends”, be careful what you say.

A true friend will never reveal the secrets told.
Yes, a true friend is truly a friend to behold.
I also have another friend that I fully trust.
This is a friend that I always need, He's a must.

This friend is always with me, my very best friend.
He won't ever leave me, He'll be with me 'til the end.
And when my life is over here on this earth someday,
I'll be with Him forever in heaven and together we'll stay.

My friend, of course, is Jesus Christ the Son of God.
Many think this relationship with God is odd.
But, a better friend you could never find, it's true.
He loves and helps you in whatever you do.
