I’m listening to a famous TV preacher today
Telling us how our country has really gone astray
How our leaders are destroying this land
Because of all their dishonesty and for what they stand.

I remember when this country was a great nation
And the government would be believed without hesitation
How they did all things ethically, honest and true
Now, it seems, everything in our past they want to undue.

If you try to promote morality now you are accused as a hate monger
Seems in these last days since our change of politics sin is growing stronger.
We know that God is looking down from above and counting the cost
He seeing our nations in decline and our moral standards we’ve lost

As a Christian we know this cannot continue before God intervenes
If you are in doubt about our moral standards today look at all the scenes
That are on TV, the internet, billboards and the magazines at the store
These are getting bolder and more blatant. God is keeping score.

False religious cults now coming knocking at our door
In these last days it will be happening more and more.
Satan will do anything now to lead people astray
Satan is out to deceive people in any possible way
