As I view the bills to be paid
I realize these were decisions I made
Things and stuff I thought I really needed
Why didn’t I listen to the little inner voice and heeded

Now I am stuck with a bill and it’s something I regret
I would not have made the purchase, you can bet
If I would have ‘counted the cost’
This is just some very valuable monies I’ve lost.

So many of us buy on an impulse, that’s a mistake
So I suggest you do as the bible suggests for your sake
Think about it for a day or two before you buy
Pray and ask for God’s wisdom. Come on give it a try.

Just be sure you always tithe and don’t forget
This tithe belongs to God and if you ‘forget’ you’ll regret
Then when you look at the checkbook or credit card receipt
You will have the monies left, enough to meet
