Can I write a poem everyday?
Only if the Lord tells me what to say.
Otherwise, my answer would be No Way
But I must write what he tells without delay

Some poems I write I would rather not write
Many of these poems come to me at night.
Others poems come as I watch Christian TV
Some of these programs, it seems, are just for me.

As I make my notes the poem enters my head
Some of the thoughts I honestly would prefer instead
To write something light and not where I’m being led
But I must write as the master dictates and said

As He tells me the words that I must write that day
I do it immediately, I know better than to try to delay
His thoughts are always very helpful and wise
Some of my poems many people worldwide despise.
