I don’t deserve to go to heaven
with all the saints of old.
I deserve a fate much less than them.
If I may be so bold.

My life has not always been
what I would term pure
If it wasn’t for the grace of God
I’d be hell bound that’s for sure.

But thank God He knew my heart
and even when I went astray
That He knew my heart and that
I’d repent and come back to Him someday.

Well that someday is today
and I’m repenting for all my sin
And if like me, have gone astray,
this is also your day to begin again
