Now that I am older and know my end is near

If I repent from my sins and be truly sincere

When I stand in front of God I have nothing to fear

I know that Jesus loves me and to him I am very dear

 

Getting older has many challenges for you and me

The changes are apparent I’m sure you’ll agree.

We look different with wrinkles and I lost my hair

However in heaven I’ll have a new body so I don’t care

 

This is something to look forward to as we grow older

In fact thinking about this only makes me bolder

To live for Christ as we should each and ever day

And work as Christ’s ambassadors in every way.

 

In heaven there is no sickness, sorrow or pain

A perfect healthy body forever is yours to claim

Where you can run, skip and jump just for fun

And in 10,000 years your new life has just begun
