I have a little 14# dog, her name is Zip

She is so cute, well behaved and sharp as a whip

When you are living alone like so many of us are

She's worth more to me than a brand new car.

 

She is always there to love and give me joy

She's not very big, actually she looks like a toy

But her heart is as big as all outdoors to me

And she expresses her love for all to see.

 

She is so friendly, affectionate and loves to meet

All and anyone young or old walking down our street.

Sure she barks when a stranger approaches my home

But it's only to tell me that she's there, I'm not alone.

 

If you have a dog or cat that you really love

Maybe you should thank the God above

There is no better companion than a devoted pet

And most of you would agree with me I bet.
