It seems everyday I must apologize for the day before

Although I have every intention to do everything right, that's for sure

I know the Lord was with me the whole day through

And it sometimes surprises me the things that I say and do.

 

Thank God for his bountiful grace that is always available to all

When we need it, repent, and then on his name you must call

He will always forgive you, but that's not an excuse to sin

Someday, and it could be very soon, we will all stand before Him

 

And then we will all be accounted for the life we chose to live

My question is when God asks you what answer will you give?

Just know he knows what you did, said and even thought

If you went to church did you do as the bible taught?

 

If you have unconfessed sin it's still written in His book

But if you confess it to Jesus and repent, that sin He took

When they hung him on that old rugged cross for me and you

And those sins are erased from the book of life forever, it's true
