People can disappoint us I'm sure this you know

They make appointments and then they don't show.

People are people, expect this to happen and yet

You must remember they are busy and they sometimes forget.

 

There is one friend however, that will never forget you

This friend is Jesus and and you also have a guardian angel too

They will never fail you, for their love is forever true

And one other thing, they'll love you no matter what you do.

 

Sure some things you do and say they won't like I'm sure.

But never the less their love will always endure.

A true friend is a friend in all circumstances and will stay.

Stay your friend though everyone else goes away.

 

Fair weather friends are all around when you are OK

But when troubles happen, they'll be the first to go away.

They 'don't want to get involved' they have a busy life

And they don't want or need anything to add anymore strife.
